Indigro Careers.

2 minutes August 17, 2023

Indigro’s continued growth requires the regular employment of high-calibre trainees and qualified agronomists to join our team.

Applications are accepted throughout the year and are welcomed from graduates or those already in employment. Our training programme has been developed over the last ten years to be one of the most comprehensive and thorough in the independent agronomy sector.

Successful candidates who are yet to attain professional agronomy qualifications, begin a first-year training programme where they are allocated a mentor for the duration of their training.

A trainee spends their first year working day-to-day with our experienced agronomists, learning on-farm and gaining practical experience of a wide range of crops and farm systems. In-house training is supported by external tuition to qualify as an advisor in crop protection (BASIS) and fertiliser advice (FACTS) by the end of the first year.

Continued training

The second-year training schedule builds on this introductory year. It is also the starting point for the already qualified new entrant. With more emphasis on practical detail and specific cropping methods such as regenerative systems, you will be starting to work with your own clients. By the end of the year, the expectation is that you will be a fully qualified Indigro agronomist and an integral member of the team.

As part of Indigro’s commitment to continual learning, all team members are encouraged to work towards the BASIS Diploma in Agronomy, the highest professional standard in the industry.
